ClipStash ("we", "our", "the app") is a clipboard management application. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we handle your data.

1. Data We Collect

Clipboard Data: The app saves text, URLs, and other content you copy to your device's clipboard. This data is stored locally on your device by default.

Account Information: If you use the cross-device sync feature (Premium), we collect your Apple ID information for authentication purposes only.

Analytics: We use Firebase Analytics to collect anonymous usage statistics (e.g., feature usage frequency, crash reports). No personally identifiable information is collected through analytics.

2. How We Use Your Data

• To provide clipboard management functionality
• To sync your clips across devices (only if you enable this feature)
• To improve app performance and fix bugs
• To process in-app purchases

3. Data Storage & Security

• Clipboard data is stored locally on your device using encrypted storage
• Vault data is protected by biometric authentication (Face ID / Touch ID)
• If sync is enabled, data is transmitted via encrypted connection to Firebase Cloud Firestore
• We do not sell, share, or transfer your clipboard data to third parties

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Firebase (Google) - Authentication, analytics, crash reporting, cloud sync
• RevenueCat - Subscription management
• Apple Sign In - User authentication

These services have their own privacy policies. We do not share your clipboard content with these services except for cloud sync (Firebase Firestore) when you explicitly enable it.

5. Data Retention

• Free plan: Clips are automatically deleted after 30 days
• Standard/Premium: Clips are retained until you manually delete them
• You can delete all your data at any time from the app settings
• If you delete your account, all synced data is removed from our servers

6. User Tracking

ClipStash does not track users across other apps or websites. We do not collect IDFA (Identifier for Advertisers). We do not display advertisements.

7. Children's Privacy

ClipStash is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your data (all data is visible within the app)
• Delete your data (via app settings or by deleting the app)
• Disable cloud sync at any time
• Request complete data deletion by contacting us

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
